Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how wAI handles account data, chat content, attachments, personalization settings, and guest-mode browser storage when you use the workspace.
It is written to match the current product behavior in this codebase as of April 15, 2026, including Google authentication, browser-stored guest sessions, saved conversations for signed-in users, AI processing, and optional web-grounded answers.
Information collected
If you sign in, wAI may receive basic account data such as your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier from Google through the authentication flow.
When you use the workspace, wAI processes prompts, assistant replies, attached files, attached images, conversation titles, timestamps, and personalization settings such as model mode, language, response style, and related preferences.
Guest mode and local storage
If you use guest mode, workspace state is stored in your browser using local storage so the interface can preserve recent conversations and settings on that device.
Guest conversations are not treated the same way as signed-in history. Older guest chats may stop appearing after about 24 hours based on current workspace logic, and clearing browser data can remove them entirely.
Signed-in history and settings
If you use a signed-in account, conversation titles, messages, and personalization settings can be stored in the application's database so your workspace can persist across sessions.
This stored data is used to render your history, restore your preferences, and keep the workspace functional when you come back.
How data is used
wAI uses your information to authenticate you, deliver AI responses, analyze attached files and images, preserve workspace state, generate conversation titles, and improve answer relevance inside the current session.
When the product determines that fresh web context is needed, it may also perform web retrieval and use the returned source material to support the answer you asked for.
Third-party processing
wAI currently relies on third-party services for core operations, including Google sign-in, AI inference providers for chat generation and image-capable analysis, and a web search provider for optional retrieval.
When a request requires those services, relevant prompt text, attachment content, or account-related session data may be sent to the provider strictly to perform the requested feature.
Your choices
You can avoid account-linked storage by using guest mode instead of Google sign-in. You can also clear chats from the workspace and clear browser storage on your device.
If you no longer want signed-in chat history retained, you can remove conversations in the interface and contact support for further help.
